ABOUT MAJAKAS

Majakas was created by Katarzyna Szymkiewicz.

Katarzyna has been a Pilates and fitness teacher for over 15 years and absolutely loves her job. In March 2020, the world changed due to the pandemic. Katarzyna describes how she felt.

"It was a time when we felt scared, anxious and overwhelmed. It almost felt like we were standing on quicksand with our environment constantly shifting under our feet.

But it was also a great time to look deeper into my passion for Pilates, I had more time to enhance my understanding and knowledge through courses and workshops. One course was The Wunda Chair Collection with JPilates and I fell completely in love with the Studio Equipment"

Katarzyna decided to invest and began researching into purchasing equipment for her studio. She encountered several difficulties, the long wait times, import taxes, shipping costs, hidden extra fees and a lack of customer care.

Katarzyna decided to approach her father, who with his friend create furniture in a workshop in their home town in Poland. From this conversation, Majakas was created!
